“What is a Friend?” by Karen Wilson

One of my dear friends and training partners sent this email below to the other 3 members of our core iHealthchic race team.
You might remember Karen from my June 10th blog. She has been conquering her fear of water. Yesterday she competing along side of us in a triathlon with a very deep end to the pool. You only fail in life when you fail to try. That makes Karen and Teri and Jayne Ann BIG heroes in my eyes.iHealthchic.com Friends

“A friend who is someone who rescues you when you are in the middle of the lake panicking and facing your worst fears.
She holds your hands and tells you everything will be okay. (Lisa)

A friend is someone who gets up at 4:00 in the morning and drives you to a pool where she can swim on side of you . So once again you can face your fear of deep water. Every time you take a stroke you look to the side to see if she is still there and she is…. (Terri)

A friend is someone who gives you the encouragement that you can swim and tell you how pretty you look even though you swim as slow as a turtle. But because she tells you that you look good that gives you the confidence to keep trying. (Jayne Ann)

Today I conquered a big hurdle in my life and I could NOT have done it without you – MY FRIENDS !!!!!!”

I can speak for all of us, Karen. Right back at you!
